The HSV VP Series was launched in October 1991 and featured major upgrades, a re-styled body design and the introduction of six new colours. Independent Rear Suspension also became available on selected short wheelbase models. the introduction of new model names, Senator and GTS which continue to be used to the present day.
While the entry-level Clubsport and luxury Senator are equipped with the 180kw V8, the high-performance GTS came standard with the 200kw version and HSV’s premium brake package. LSD were standard across the range. Other vehicles in the range included the HSV VP ClubSport, HSV VP SV 91 and a range of limited edition 5th Anniversary vehicles.
